Several Lindenhurst Middle School students recently were honored at the monthly Breakfast for Champions celebration, coordinated by teacher Kathy Curran.

Hosted by the Lindenhurst Public Library, the breakfast, now a tradition for more than 25 years, honors students who exemplify Lindy Pride at the middle school. Students are nominated by teachers for a variety of reasons and recognized publicly with certificates of merit in front of proud parents, teachers, administrators and peers.

The students recognized at the March Breakfast for Champions were Katherine Cardoso, Yunus Colak, Abigail DeSetto, Amely Marmol Espinal, Kamila Flores, Lily Giannattasio, Daniel Guevara Jr., Matthew Johnson, Thomas Kapusta, Blake Napoleon, Cristal Diaz Pantaleon, Delaney Phelan, Anastashia Quinones, Alexa Reybok, Nicholas Rueb and Giavanna Streffacio
