Jennifer Lindner Wins ASSET Bright Light Award
Jennifer Lindner, ELL Teacher at Daniel Street received her ASSET Bright Lights Award at a luncheon on Friday, Jan 24th.
The ASSET Bright Lights Award is a recognition given by ASSET (Association of Suffolk Supervisors for Educational Technologies) to educators, leaders, and school districts on Long Island who demonstrate outstanding integration of technology in teaching and learning. It highlights innovative practices that improve student engagement and achievement through educational technology.
Ms. Lindner is an exceptional educator who goes above and beyond to support her K-5 English Language Learners. She skillfully integrates technology into her daily lessons, using tools such asBookCreator to develop students’ literacy skills and PebbleGo to explore diverse topics. Her use of AR, through Quaver and an AR card deck, provides immersive learning experiences that spark curiousity and imagination. Ms. Lindner’s dedication to her students’ growth is further exemplified by her successful Model Schools Grant, which has allowed her to expand her technology initiatives. She is a passionate advocate for her students.
