Lindenhurst was recently recognized by the NAMM Foundation as a Best Communities for Music Education program award-winning district.

Each year, the NAMM Foundation recognizes 830 school districts across 43 states for the outstanding efforts of the teachers, administrators, parents, students, and community leaders and their support for music education as part of a well-rounded education for all children.
