School spirit was on display on Feb. 28 as teachers, administrators and staff from the Lindenhurst Union Free School District competed in the Lindenhurst Battle of the Schools competition.

All proceeds from advanced, online T-shirt sales and concessions from the evening were donated to varsity athlete senior scholarships and breast cancer awareness and research funding, a project led by Lindenhurst Middle School’s very own Cassandra Herrador.

At the conclusion of the night, West Gates Avenue Elementary School was crowned champion. Congratulations to the West Gates Avenue administrators and staff!
