Students in Mrs. Ferreby and Ms. Padden’s classes at Daniel Street Elementary School recently participated in a community-based field trip where the classes visited the newly renovated Lindenhurst Memorial Library.

During the visit, students were given a tour and checked out books with their new library cards. As part of the trip, they enjoyed lunch at Villa Pizza and finished the trip with a visit to the Lindenhurst Fire Station, where students learned about fire safety, practiced using the firefighters’ tools and had the chance to sit in the fire trucks.
