Lindenhurst Students Compete in Annual Business Competition

Ten Lindenhurst High School students recently attended the annual Emerging Leaders Business Competition, held in conjunction with The Huntington Chamber of Commerce and St. Joseph’s College.

More than 13 high schools across Long Island with over 300 students competed in various categories including entrepreneurship, health care, tourism, sports marketing, not-for-profit, public relations, hospitality services, entertainment marketing, retail marketing and human resources.

The students from Lindenhurst who competed in the event were Abrianna Alejandro, Claudia Cilea, Alana Downey, Emily Lin, Erica Lin, Phoebe Herbst, Mia John, Sini Luo, Krystal Meyers and Yarista Urena.

Claudi Cilea earned a third-place finish in the human resources category.
