A collaborative effort at Harding Avenue Elementary School recently produced a plethora of heartfelt messages to be shared with service men and women overseas this holiday season.

Students in second grade and fifth grade worked together to write letters and assemble care packages for soldiers deployed overseas. In addition to being an uplifting gesture by the students, it also served to enhance the students’ letter writing skills.

The letters and care packages will be distributed to the members of the armed forces through the Stocking for Soldiers organization.
