William Rall Elementary School third grade students in Mrs. Rollman and Mrs. Bressi’s classes participated in a science experiment investigating the phenomenon of weather and weather-related hazards such as floods.

As part of the hands-on activity, students needed to design an environment that included a river, and pour water into the river so it overflowed to see which of four houses flooded. Students then revised the model so all houses were safe from the flood.
