Three Lindenhurst Union Free School District seniors have been named commended students in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program.

At the end of September, about 34,000 of the approximately 50,000 highest scorers were chosen for this honor based on their PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test results. All three students boast impressive academic résumés, including enrollment in numerous Advanced Placement courses, integral involvement in clubs and memberships in a plethora of honor societies.

The students selected to receive this honor are Raymond Fleury, Mikolaj Pankau and Lauren Walker.

The selected students received letters of commendation in recognition of their outstanding academic performance and are candidates for special scholarships sponsored by corporate businesses.
