Students at Daniel Street Elementary School gathered outside of their school building dressed in red, white and blue on June 14 to honor the flag of the United States of America as part of a celebratory Flag Day event.

As part of the event, students sang a collection of patriotic songs and enjoyed music performed by members of the school’s band. The flag was raised with the assistance of the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and the ceremony concluded with fifth grade students sharing inspiring paragraphs and poems about what the flag means to them.
