Jennifer Freedman Awarded BOCES Podolski Visionary Award at the annual LITES Conference
At the Long Island Technology and Education Summit (LITES) held on Friday, October 24 at the Huntington Hilton, the Long Island BOCES organizations presented its highest technology award to our very own Jennifer Freedman, Director of Instructional Technology and Innovation!
Ms. Freedman was awarded the Podolski visionary award. This award is named in memory of Nassau BOCES’ longtime director of Curriculum, Instruction and Technology. Mr. Podolski was a firm believer in the impact technology could have on student learning. He was also the founder of the Long Island Technology and Education Summit.
This award is given to an educational administrator who has demonstrated vision, leadership and support of technology initiatives. This nominee should have a clear record of driving the use of technology a demonstrated ability to identify future needs and a passion for serving the educational needs of students and teachers within their school district
Ms. Freedman most certainly exemplifies those characteristics, is a well deserving award winner, and all of us in the district congratulate her. Please view the video put together highlighting the impact she has made on the district:
