Lindenhurst, NEW YORK (April 2024)—The Lindenhurst Union Free School District has been named one of the Best Communities for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation for 2024. This is the sixth year Lindenhurst Schools have received this special designation.

The Best Communities award is given to school districts across the country that demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment and access to music education for all of their students. Lindenhurst was among 975 school districts in the country to receive this recognition.

“We are very fortunate to have such great support of our music programs here in Lindenhurst,” said Dr. Robert Lombardo, Director of Fine and Performing Arts at Lindenhurst Schools. “Thank you to our music teachers, administrators, Board of Education, and community members for their continued support and commitment to providing our students with so many wonderful opportunities in music and the performing arts.”
