Lindenhurst High School students Jake Albert and Julianna Roan recently competed at the Long Island Elite Meet against the best public and private school athletes on Long Island.

Julianna finished her 55-meter hurdle in a personal best 9.41 seconds, which qualified her for the finals where she took sixth overall and medaled.

Jake ran a 4:33-second 1600 meter, took fifth overall and was awarded the prestigious LI Elite medal.

It is a major accomplishment to qualify for this event, and both student-athletes represented Lindenhurst with pride and excellence. Congratulations to these incredible student-athletes and varsity head coaches Dave Carlson and Diane Josefson.
