Lindenhurst Middle School students in Mrs. Booth and Mrs. Korsen’s seventh grade art classes were recently visited by artist David O. Miller. Students learned from the artist and used his artistic style to create a Tim Burton-inspired monster.

As part of the project, students first chose an animal, mythical creature or a plant as a starting point. Students used the ¾ view for the faces taught by Miller to make their creatures come to life. They also used shading to add a three-dimensional look to their piece of art and added a symmetrically designed frame to complete their masterpieces.
