Section XI recently announced five athletic teams from the Lindenhurst Union Free School District that were named Suffolk County’s Fall Outstanding Sportsmanship Team Award winners. The following teams and coaches were recognized with this honor: boys cross-country led by varsity head coach Dave Carlson; varsity football led by varsity head coach Nick Lombardo and assistant coaches Mark Frole, Ron Frole and Damon Sinicropi; Middle School white football led by Dennis Spinelli and Dan Perez; Middle School boys white soccer led by Dave Figalora and Middle School girls green soccer led by Mike Severson.
