This fall at Tanner Park there was a Remembering Hurricane Sandy event hosted by Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer.

As part of the event community members and first responders were recognized, and under the direction of teachers Candice Rice and Kathleen Reilly, nine members of the Lindenhurst Middle School eighth grade chorus performed two songs during the candlelight vigil at the end of the program. They sang “Let it Be” and “The Water is Wide.” The nine members were Emalee Alford, Samantha Baum, Juliana Chambers, John Delio, Sabrina Disla, Camryn Ferriso, Lizzie Gereta, Katerina Rueb and Felix Turcios.
