Albany Avenue Elementary School fifth grade students recently received an exciting virtual visit from Emmy-winning screenwriter and author Tom Rogers, who spoke with students about his novel “Eleven” and shared firsthand perspective into his creative process.

The fifth graders began the school year reading Rogers’ novel, and the virtual meeting with Rogers served as an excellent opportunity to discuss the book in a unique way with its creator. As part of the visit Rogers shared how he develops ideas, his writing process and how he became an author.
