An inspiring collaborative effort spanning grade levels at Daniel Street Elementary School resonated throughout the halls recently as teachers led activities combatting social isolation for Start With Hello Week as part of the Sandy Hook Promise.

As part of the expansive week, students participated in various activities that included “Meet and Greet Day,” where students made name tags they wore throughout the day and were encouraged to introduce themselves to students and staff they encounter throughout the building; “Upstander Tuesday,” where students learned about the importance of being an upstander and how it helps others; and “Wear Green Wednesday,” where students and staff were encouraged to wear green as a symbol of unity and solidarity with Sandy Hook Promise.
