The Lindenhurst High School Marching Band concluded their weeklong training camp on Friday, Aug. 5.
Parents were treated to a preview performance of this year's show, "Rise of the Machines." The students and staff are looking forward to an exciting competitive season.
"We've almost never been this far along with a show this early in the summer,” remarked band director Kevin Pike. “This is a great group of students. They really love working together."
Jon Trapani, director of fine and performing arts, agreed. "We are thrilled with the accomplishments of the students and staff this week,” he said. “They are going to make us very proud this season."
Along with the band’s busy competitive season in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, the district is excited to host the USBands New York Regional Championships on the middle school field on Sunday, Oct. 23.
