Harding Ave 4th graders compete in Jeopardy!
Harding Ave “American Revolution” Jeopardy!
The Harding Ave 4th graders from Ms Pusateri & Ms Swanson’s classes competed in “American Revolution” Jeopardy Tuesday morning, June 18th.
The 4th graders, dressed in period costumes from the revolutionary times, answered questions - in the form of a question - about the American Revolution, the key historical people, battles, and other key topics.
At the end of regular Jeopardy, Ms. Swanson’s class trailed by a score of 1850 to 2950, but a strategic “bet it all” wager combined with a correct answer in Final Jeopardy led the students to a come from behind win, 3700 to 2950, over Ms. Pusateri’s class!
To top it off, Ms. Swanson class has a tradition of not being satisfied with just the answer to a question - they need to know WHY the answer is right. And when they do, they sing the Backstreet Boys hit song, “Tell Me Why”. which both classes then proceeded to sing for the audience.
If you ever have a question about the American Revolution, just ask any Harding Ave 4th grader!
