November Character Education Trait Video series - Dr. Cristina Quartararo
This year our district would like to continue to build on character education. Each month we will be introducing a different character trait to the students during morning announcements, morning meetings and shared activities. Throughout the month we ask that teachers, parents, guardians, and supporters build opportunities into your day to discuss these character traits and recognize students when they are displaying them in your classroom, or at home. It is important to recognize not only the student but what they did that is reflective of the character trait. Our hope is that this will build upon the work we are doing in our classrooms to develop a kind and caring school community!
Every month we will focus on a different character trait, and host a book reading by an administrator of a book which highlights that trait. In the classroom, students will read along and have a discussion about the book and the character trait highlighted in the book. For October, the trait is Patience.
