About Me

Welcome to the Middle School Library Media Center! I am overjoyed to begin my career as a Library Media Specialist this year. Prior to coming to Lindenhurst Schools, I worked as a Children’s Librarian in the Suffolk County Library System. I have always had a love for both reading and learning, and I am excited to develop an environment that supports and empowers students to discover and develop their love for reading and learning as well.

Our Library Program

The Library Media Center in Lindenhurst Middle School is an inviting environment where students have the agency to enjoy reading and learning. The Library Media Center offers spaces for collaborative learning, quiet reading, and creative making. Whether students are practicing their research skills or tinkering with robots, they are gaining and building skills that will support their educational paths.

Students and staff have access to a broad collection of fiction and nonfiction titles as well as digital resources and databases. The Library Media Center’s Maker Space is stocked with craft materials, coding and robotic equipment, Legos, board games, and even a 3D printer, and the Innovation Lab inside the Library Media Center is a space where students can use technology such as podcasting equipment.

Whether you need a book recommendation, have a research question, or just need to stop by the Chrome Depot, the Library Media Center is open to you and we’re always happy to help!
